To me, Grateful Magazine is about gratitude, creativity, pushing boundaries, and asking questions that aren't often asked. The objective of this magazine is to get people to talk. I want it to be real and focus on the true essence of creativity. I want people to feel something when they see the pictures, graphics, and topics I choose to write about. The first article will go into it in more depth below.
To me, this magazine is my Circus Maximus. It's edgy but editorial, even a bit NSFW at times, honestly, it's just so me. I worked hard on this. I really put my everything into it. I started with a 10-page idea, and through working and doing shoots, it grew to 16. Interesting background information: I have always wanted to create a magazine or work for one. This is the culmination of everything I ever wanted to do creatively throughout my life. This came from long, late nights and hours of scoping locations, coordinating with models, and designing pages. The aim is to tell a story and show my heart through every element. I've done 2 other photographic collections, and each time I've wanted to make a photobook or magazine, so this is also an ode to completion, a reminder to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to. Thank you for viewing, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.
